gentlemen, why don't you relax: 

1) I bet that if Ross slapped Tim, he would not shoot Ross
2) I bet that Ross will not slap Tim, regardless of 1)
3) It is often easy to make a judgment about people, and hard for
   other people to change others' judgment
4) it follows from 3) that flamewars are useless
